After four years in print and more than 20 issues, East West is going
on a print hiatus, effective immediately.
The slowing economy and rising production costs are part of the picture,
but this move is also a result of another story. It is the tale of a small,
bare bones company that has grown too fast. Our resources have been taxed
and this labor of love has become larger than our small staff.
And so, in order to continue to serve you and fulfill our mission, we
need to step back to become more efficient and to implement the best plan
for delivering the stories that touch and inspire each member of the East
West community.
What does this mean for you?
To be honest, I can't say for sure. We hope to be back in print in the
latter part of 2008 or early 2009. We are working on it. What I can say
for sure is that we'll continue to keep you updated on East West names,
faces, places and events via a new blog at this site starting in the near future.
In addition to the blog, you can continue to enjoy our online archives.
Plus, I hope you will stay tuned to the site for updated information on
our plans. If you are registered for our e-mail
newsletter, we'll keep you posted that way as well.
We appreciate the support of our print and online readers, and
I am happy to take your questions at
I sincerely hope you will weather this storm with us.
